Anthropocentrism- humans are the central and most significant species on the planet.
Deep Ecology- human interference as a significant threat to the environment’s equilibrium.
Gaia Hypothesis- non-organic elements in the planet play a significant role in maintaining balance in the environment.
What is Environmental Ethics?
It is an advocated human responsibility and responsiveness.
What are the two key ideas of Environmental Ethics?
- All non-human elements of the world have intrinsic value and should be preserved.
- The preservation of the environment is beneficial for humans, as it will continue to provide for the present and future generations.
What are the concepts of Environmental Ethics?
Climate Justice- Advocates for climate justice and acknowledges that climate changes can have differing adverse impacts on underprivileged populations.
Environmental Justice- the fair distribution of environmental benefits, as well as the burden of meeting environmental challenges.
