A feeling of dislike directed against an individual or a group because of some characteristic

A belief that a person’s social or economic status determines their value in that society.

Prejudice or discrimination within a racial or ethnic group favors people with lighter skin tones over darker skin tones.
what is Discrimination
The unjust or prejudicial treatment of different categories of people, especially on the grounds of race, age, sex, or disability.
what is Economic poverty
A state of having insufficient funds/ resources to provide a basic level of existence.
what is Absolute poverty
When people do not have enough basic necessities of life.
what is Relative poverty
Ths is when people are poor in comparison to others around them.
What does Scripture Say about poverty?
Although poverty will be with us, it is not to be ignored. You should show justice, love, and kindness and help others in need.
James 1:15-16
Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; eep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical condition, what good is it?
what is a Pacifist
An individual who promotes peace and advocates war
what is Violence
Behaviors involving physical force intended to hurt, damage, or kill someone or something. Threats to cause bodily injury are also a form of violence.

Action involving deliberate destruction of or damage to public or private property. War a state of armed conflict between different countries or different groups within a country.

what is Unemployment
when a person is available and willing to work but currently without work.
What is unemployment measured by?
It is usually measured by the unemployment rate
Deuteronomy 15:7-8
If an individual is unemployed and seeking employment we are to help them until they are back on their feet.
Philippians 4:6
Do not be anxious about anything but trust God.
What does the Bible Teach about unemployment?
-Help those who are unemployed
-Unemployed persons are encouraged to remain hopeful
- Not to be lazy but work
-Trust in God that He has a plan
What is the unemployment rate defined as?
The percentage of those in the labor force who are not in an occupation
What is the religious view toward unemployment?
-Everyone must have a good attitude toward work
-If people do not work it will affect the individual and the society
-We all have a purpose in life and we should seek to fulfill that life’s mission.
Jeremiah 29:11-14
Unemployed persons are encouraged to remain hopeful because “God has plans laid out for you. Plans to bring prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about future hope”
2nd Thessalonians 3:10-11
Paul encouraged the believers that they are not to be lazy but work. He also stated that “whoever refuses to work is not allowed to eat”
what is the Biblical perspective on war?
It is suggested that some wars are instructed by god but it also clearly states Christians “should love their enemies and pray for them”

What is the Christian perspective on war and violence?
Some Christians believe that there are times when fighting is acceptable, such as to ensure that good will overcome evil.
What is the biblical perspective on vandalism?
(There is no direct mention of vandalism in the bible, this detail may not be very important but I’m leaving it here) it calls on people to discern what is right and wrong and only do what is pleasing to God.
