Identity Achievement
exemplified by those who have committed themselves to a particular identity while remaining willing to explore their identities further if the situation requires it. High commitment, High exploration.

Representative Sample
A group that closely parallels the population on all the current Characteristics.

a group chosen from the population by random selection.
Random assignment
random assignment of the participants to different conditions or experiences.
