Q

Explain how muscles Work as a pair to bend the arm at the elbow causing movement at the joint?
A

Flexion of a joint is a decrease in the joint angle from the body in an atomic position. When the elbow is bent the forearm is flexed which means that the flexor is contracted or has pulled the bone of the forearm.most function takes place in a forward direction. The exception to this is the leg were flexion of the leg results in the bending of the knee. Extension of the joint is when the joint is returned to the Anatomic position or increased the angle of the joint, which means the extensor is contracted. The bicep muscle contracts to bend the elbow.
