What is matching , when is it needed and why?
A
Where the subjects in an experiment are matched based on a particular variable and put into groups e.g. Age , gender. Necessary if a variable could affect dependent variable e.g. Age has an effect on the duration of an after image , because it could effect the dependent variable and result in poor correlated results, as well as biased and not fair
