Pilots SHALL not fly at night as PIC, unless they are night current. To be current, a pilot SHALL have flown a minimum of 2.0 hours within 45 days. Squadron COs may authorize day into night between 45-60 days.
After 60 days, currency SHALL be regained by flying with a current night PIC

Aircrewman SHALL receive a local area course rules brief and local area fam flight with an aircrewman familiar with the local area
LSO Designation

For embarked DETs, LSOs SHALL be designated in writing by the ship’s CO for deployment.
Short evolutions: LSO does not need to be designated by ship’s CO, but SHALL brief the CO or OOD prior to DLQ evolutions
Night DLQ currency lapsing while at parent squadron’s home base: requirements
Pilot’s SHALL conduct an OFT (not an option) or night FDLPs within 30 days of scheduled DLQ requalification.
SHALL complete no fewer than three evolutions.
Should be conducted with the same aircrew expected to participate during DLQs.

Night coupler currency

PIC SHALL have flown TWO windline rescue or Night/IMC dip-to-dip patterns to automatic approaches to a coupled hover AT NIGHT within 60 days.
If not, SHALL not be scheduled to fly night SAR missions
INST currency
SHALL have flown a minimum of 2.0 hours of simulated or actual instrument time within 60 days.

Time Zone Down Time (coming back from JAX)

Aircrew arriving from more than 3 time zones (should) be in a down status for 24 hours for every time zone crossed after 3 time zones.
May be relaxed to 72 hours of down status for flights that will occur during DAY time.
6 time zones = 4 days down
Flying after duty

Pilots SHALL not be scheduled to fly following a 24 hour SDO.
Aircrewmen SHALL not be scheduled for a flight on the same day they stood a watch 0000-0800.
For all other watch periods, crew rest rules SHALL apply from end of duty period.

OICs SHALL comply with and ensure ships COs are briefed on aircrew and maintenance team crew rest requirements from CNAF
Radius of Action

PICs SHALL give due consideration to 122 paragraph (45% of max range) prior to embarking on a mission

Shipboard Radius of Action
150 NM or maximum reliable Comm/Nav range,
whichever is LESS.
Beyond 150 may be approved by CAG or Type-wing commander when independently deployed
Time spent beyond 150 NM SHALL be limited to the minimum required to accomplish mission objectives.

Rescue Hoist Op Check

Required calls on first take off of each flight
Single Engine Airspeed and STAB programming SHALL be called on first take off.
STAB programming SHALL be called after reengaging AUTO mode subsequent to a simulated or actual failure

Aircraft with an AUX may be hotseated with procedure complete. Status SHALL be addressed during turnover, if applicable.
Procedure SHALL be conducted anytime overland flight is anticipated, if required.

New crew SHALL begin with step 10 of Post Engagement checks (ask about anti-ice/blade de-ice)
