what is recruiting and selection and how are they related?
recruiting: process through which the organization seeks applicants for potential employment
selection: process by which the organization identifies applicants with the necessary knowledge, skills, abilities, and other characteristics that will help the organization achieve its goals

what is the difference between training and development?

training is focused on the current job and development is focused on future jobs
what are some basic ways to manage performance?
performance measures, preparation and administration of performance appraisals, discipline
