Random error?
Caused by unknown and unpredictable changes in experiment (e.g reaction time)
Systematic error?
Issue with experimental design or equipment. Causes all readings to differ from true value by a fixed amount (e.g miscalculated scale)
Parallex error?
Incorrect positioning of the eyes when taking a measurement.
Zero error?
When a measuring system gives a false reading when true value is zero.
Resolution meaning?
The smallest change in quantity an instrument can detect.
Repeatability meaning?
Same observation made under the same conditions and instruments used.
Reproducibility meaning?
Independent researchers get same results using own data and methods.
Peer review meaning?
Conclusions from new scientific researchers are reviewed or checked by other scientists.
