- Eventually the weight of her deeds catches up to Lady Macbeth as subconsciously she is no longer in control
- Some may interpret this as Lady Macbeth finally being taken over by the spirits she so heavily relied on
- This is further emphasised as witches back then were believed to carry a mark (spot)
