This is to make sure they don’t go outside and reproduce more offspring in order to control the growth of the street animals.
Could provide water and food

Create a sterile program to control the growth of animals
Lower expenses
It is too expensive to bring strays to the clinic for most people and are left alone. Therefore they could lower the expenses of the care.
