Q

Genetic erosion

A

When the gene poll of an endangered or animal diminishes.
Human activities cause this - people require animals such as bees and so if we made them go extinct then problems would arise.
Impacts of habitat change could cause species to go extinct such as deforestation.

Q

Species diversity

A

Different animals and plants different roles on the earth and so high biodiversity is important.
A large range of animals could provide food, medical research, breeding stocks and so on…
Taking away certain species would disrupt trophic levels and so the food chain.

A

Protection over the area could control number of ecosystems. A protected area would have more.
Climate affects ecosystems - there will be less diverse range of ecosystems in areas with extreme climate.
