When was the Treaty of Versailles signed and what did it involve

A

Signed in 1919, It forced Germany to take the blame for WW1 and pay respirations amounting to £6.6 billion

The German Army was reduced and other army privileges were taken away such as battleships and airforces decreased

How did Hitler win over the population of Germany? What promises did he make?

A

He promised to destroy the Treaty Of Versailles, what the Germans believed oppressed them.

He also promised to reduce unemployment, this was especially significant because of the recent Wall Street Crash

In May 1933 he removed trade unions and political opposition

When were the Jews Initially Opressed and how?

A

1933, Jews were banned from government jobs and civil servants were sacked

This continued until 1938 where Jews were banned from most things including marrying German citizens and Gangs started rioting against the Jews and 100’s were killed

This oppression continued even after this
