Components are the parts of a computer that make it work
What is the power supply in a computer?
The power supply is the main source of energy/electricity for the computer.
What is the CPU
The CPU is the central processing unit and its main purpose is it to process data.
What is RAM
RAM (Random Access Memory) is a form of computer data storage. RAM is the most common type of memory found in computers, printers and other devices.
Network card
A Network card is an electronic device that connects a computer to a computer network. It allows computers to communicate over a computer network by using cables and wires of wirelessly.
Graphics card
A graphics card produces the image that you see on the computer screen by using a piece of computer hardware. It is responsible for rendering images.
Motherboard
The motherboard is a printed circuit board containing the main components of a computer (or other devices) with connectors for other circuit boards to be spotted into. It holds the main components of the computer including the CPU, memory and connectors from the input and output devices xx
Hard drive
The hard drive is a disk used to read from and write to a hard disk. It is used to permanently store and also retrieve information.
What is an input device?
Putting data into a Computer, eg keyboard, remotes and joysticks
What is an output device?
An output device produces, delivers or supplies data, for example computer/tablet/phone screens
What is hardware?
The machines, wiring and other physical components of a computer or other electronic system.
What is software?
The programs and other operating information used by a computer.
