One strategy in Glasgow was the ‘legacy homes’ at athletes village which were fully insulated, had solar panels and efficient heating, 400 of the homes became social and the rest were sold increasing people in the area

Another strategy was police scotland moving into a new Dalmarnock office in 2015, the presence of police in the area makes it feel safer and aimed at reducing crime rates

Another strategy was opening the legacy hub which had a community centre, nursery, GP surgery, dental surgery and pharmacy, this was designed to provide services for locals and improve quality of life in the area

One strategy in Glasgow was adding new tenement style houses which creates more of a community spirit than the isolated high rises. The more modern take on tenement flats reflects the traditional heritage of the area whilst updating it
