Q

How have camels adapted to survive in the desert?

A
  • They have large flat feet - spread their weight on the sand so they don’t sink
  • They can survive without water for a long time - they lose little water through urination and sweat
  • They have slit nostrils and two layers of eyelashes - this helps to keep sand out
