What is a hospice
A place where people with terminal illnesses can go to die with dignity

Relieving symptoms and paid a terminal illness

A hospice does not try to treat an illness or cure a patient unlike hospitals
Hospices also offer a type of pastoral care about the patient and their family not available in a standard hospital

To provide physical spiritual emotional and psychological support to those in the final period of the illness/lives
She wanted to offer care that consider all elements of a patient’s needs rather than simply treating the physical symptoms

Why are many hospices supported or sponsored by religious institutions
They fulfil the Christian desire to support the suffering of a patient and Family in the final moments of his life as well as enabling believers to preserve the sanctity of life rather than resorting to euthanasia

Allow people to die with dignity in a loving caring environment surrounded by family if desired
