Q
What are the 10 effects of Adrenaline?
A
- Stimulates liver to covert glycogen into glucose so that more glucose is available for cellular respiration.
- Blood Glucose level increases
- Increases metabolic rate so more energy is released in tissue respiration
- Increases the rate of heartbeat and causes a rise in b.p so oxygen and glucose are carried faster
- Increases rate and depth for respiration so more oxygen is available for tissue respiration.
- Increases rate of blood clotting.
- Constricts arterioles to gut, decreasing digestive activities
- Constricts arterioles in skin, causing paleness, channelling more blood to the muscles.
- Dilates pupils to enhance vision
- Constricts hair muscle, producing goose bumps
