Since hunting and war were the primary cultural activities, once it was all taken away the culture of the people could not be sustained. Thus, nothing happened can be taken literally meaning that there was no further thrive of the group. It simply ended.

Courage is a value that is important in the culture: for example, to be a high member of the group you ned to have the courage to fight in war or hunt.
