If a client disagreed, I would frame it as a learning opportunity. So, if you got assessed with a certain result, it means x population tends to respond that way to the question. Apparently you’re different. What do you make of that difference? Let’s pay attention to what you disagree to to learn more.

Homewood Health is a leading Canadian Employee and Family Assistance provider specializing in the treatment of mental health and addictions. Homewood Health’s services are available to employees and their families, and programs include short-term, case-based counselling in person, online, and over the phone, as well as resources, referrals, and coaching. Homewood Health partners with a range of major organizations (Pacific Blue Cross and the Provincial Health Services Authority, to name a few). In addition to EFAP programs, Homewood Health offers services in organizational wellness, assessment, recovery management, and return-to-work programs. The Homewood Health national network comprises over 4,500 employees and clinicians.
How does your education and experience relate to this role?
My related education and experience includes the following:
Recent graduate work and work experience in counselling psychology, in areas including solution-oriented counselling, trauma, addictions, mental health, assessment, case management, and career counselling.
Current training in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Upcoming training in EMDR.
13 years professional experience providing litigation research services related to Canadian Residential Schools, which involved professional writing, French to English translation, an understanding of navigating the legal system, and safeguarding personal information (Protected B).
Proven clinical, organizational, time-management, computer, and French skills.
