Q

why is it important to maintain blood glucose conc

A

-if blood glucose too high water potential of blood reduced
- water molecules diffuse out of cells into blood via osmsis
- cells shrivil and die

  • blood glucose too low cell unale to carry out normal activities as not enough glucose for respiration

Q

what is negative feedback and why is it important
what is the opposite of negative feedback
give some examples of negative feedback

A

negative feedback is restoration back to the optimum
e.g controll increase and decrease of blood glucos
posistive feedback
negative feedback important as gives control over internal envirment - you have multiple negative feedbck mechanisms as only one means slower response and less control
