Asthma. Dryness. Tremendous weakness, out of proportion to pathology.
Inflammation, anywhere in the body.
Used from acutes to constitutional to severe late-stage illness (cancer, dying patients).
Acutes with restlessness, anxiety, chilliness, thirst for small quahtities often.
Periodicity.
Stomach pains better milk. Ulcers.
Arsenicum album
Miasms: Syphilis and psora
Depression, suicidal.
Perfectionism, driven. ** Industrious. Haughty.**
Ailments from dissappointed love. Forsaken feeling.
Anger, rage. Better refined music.
Better evening, worse night.
High standards. Self-reproach.
Fears: failure, heart disease, heights.
Angina, heart disease, cancer. Bone pains.
Undescended testicle, malignancy of testes.
Alcoholism, drug abuse.
Nasal obstruction, severe sinutitis, pain at root of nose.
Moaning in sleep, waking with pain.
AURUM METALLICUM
Miasms: Syphilis and some sycosis
Overwhelmed, overworked, overexertion. **Task oriented. **
Fears: breaking down, disease, high places, insanity, others will notice.
Vertigo from high places.
Sensitive to horrible stories.
Obesity, easily gains weight, chilly, < cold damp.
< exertion, esp ascending.
Worse new and full moon.
Poor stamina, inner trembling.
Agg aspirin. Pale. Swollen glands.
Perspiration easily from exertion, esp head/occiput. Perspires when cold or in cold room.
< night, during sleep.
Craves eggs, sweets, dairy, ice cream, indigestibles.
Constipation, no urge.
Metrorhaggia, esp at menopause.
Fibroids. Breasts swell/pain b4 menses.
Back pain, arthritis.
Concern with metaphysical issues, esp in kids.
Cold clammy extremities. Perspire in cold room.
Cold feet at night, wears socks to bed, then takes off in middle of night.
**Late dentition. **Nails weak and brittle.
CALCAREA CARBONICA
Miasm: very psoric
Family history of cancer, diabetes, tuberculosis, alcoholism.
Passionate, sympathetic, great sympathy to animals, environment, love nature, love thunderstorms.
Perfectionistic, self-sacrificing, fastidious.
Sensitive to reprimands, guilt, desire to please.
Anxiety for others, remain in relationship out of responsibility.
**Anticipatory anxiety. **Fear exams, cancer, death.
Desires dancing and music. Desire to travel.
History of taking on a lot of responsibility as a child. Some may be taken advantage of, may have history of abuse as a child or in relationships. Serve others.
Averse to consolation.
Past history of cancer, mononucleosis.
Moles. History of addiction to coffee, drugs, alcohol at some point in their life.
Crave chocolate, coffee, spicy, salt, fat, soup, butter.
Worse afternoon, esp. 5-6 p.m.
Often see insomnia and tendency to constipation.
Carsinosin
Miasm: Cancer miasm (so Tubercular, psora, syphilitic, sycotic miasm must be in background)
Idealistic, sympathetic, intolerant of injustices, rebellious.
Ailments from grief, punishment.
Fears: something bad will happen, dogs, ghosts.
Hurried. Better in cloudy/wet weather.
< cold winds, < drafts.
Eruptions/warts on nose, eyelids.
Constant desire to clear throat. Hoarseness.
Craves salt, smoked meat. Averse sweets.
Urinary incontinence from cough, sneeze.
Aversion to coition in women.
Cough deep, mucus sticky. Dry, wracking cough. Cough better cold drinks.
Rheumatic complaints, arthritis, gout, contractures.
Warts fingers.
Neurological conditions.
Gradual paralysis. Bell’s palsy, MS.
Stammering.
CAUSTICUM
Miasms: Psora, Sycosis, Syphilis (one will be dominant)
Sensitive, easily excited. Refined, idealistic.
High expectations, easily dissapointed.
Contradictions, Rapidly changing moods, hysteria.
Ailments from grief, disappointed love, fright. Silent grief.
Stormy relationships, easily offended, remain cramped inside.
Sentimental, involuntary weeping. Sighing, sobbing, averse consolation.
Quarrelsome, impatient. Desires to be alone, brooding. Ailments from being reprimanded.
Can’t decide, irresolution.
Headache as if a nail in side of head, better lying on it.
Perspires face.
Averse or craves fruit. Travel ameliorates. Worse sweets.
Spasms, emotonal tension somatized in muscles, creating tight traps, jaw muscles, rectum, etc. Lump in throat.
Dysmenorrhea.
Fears: birds, robbers, narrow places. Mental symptoms alternate with physical.
IGNATIA
Miasm: Psora
Duty, rigidity, conservative, moral, proper.
Dislikes change.
Fear of dark, ghosts, future, disease, alone.
Desire for company
Anxiety felt in abdomen.
Startled easily, starting from noise, when touched.
Irritable. Aversion to be touched.
Obstinate, quarrelsome. Sensitive to noise. Talking in slep.
Chilly, worse cold. Intolerant of drafts.
Worse 2-4 a.m. Stitching pains.
Edema. Bag-like swelling between or around eyes.
Desires sweets. Sleepless, can’t let go. Weakness after coition.
Asthma, worse lying flat, better sitting up, better leaning forward with elbows resting on knees.
Bronchitis, pneumonia, with sharp stitching pains, with 2-4 agg.
Low back pain, sciatica. Back pain drives out of bed at night.
Kali carbonicum
Miasm: mostly psora, slight syphilis, (night agg.)
Forceful, passionate, suspicious, jealous, loquacious, carcastic, competitive.
Ailments from grief, disappointed love, jealousy, anger, fright, mortification.
Worse suppression, better with discharge (menses, etc). Greatly relieved by menses flow.
Fear snakes, being poisoned, robers, evil, die, he will, if goes to sleep.
Anger, revengeful, malicious.
Ideas abundant, clarity of mind.
Anxiety about salvation. Anxiety on waking.
Contradict, disposition to. Deceitful.
Delusions, see images, Delusions, under superhuman control. Delusion, illusions of fancy. Delusions, poisoned. Delusions, pursured.
Egotism. Lascivious. Quarrelsom. Vivacious.
Alcoholism. Left sided. Worse lying on left side. Worse sleep, sleeps into aggravation. Sensitive to touch.

Throat problems: lump in throat, pharyngitis, etc. - worse from warm drinks.
Hot, worse heat.
Intolerance of tight collars, clothes.
Craves farinaceous, alcohol.

LACHESIS
Miasm: Sycosis, some syphilis, a tiny bit of psora
Anxiety regarding self-esteem, covered up by bluffing or acting confident, knowledgable, may seem haughty.
Cowardice. Want of self-confidence.
Fears intimacy, marriage, commitment.
Anxiety about health.
Fears: being alone, dark, stage fright, loss of social status.
Dictatoral. Irritable towards inferiors. Easily offended.
Dyslexia.
Anxiety affects gut, GI problems: bloating, constipation, diarrhea, rumbling, easy satiety after a few bites. Binge then diet.
Hepatitis or gallbladder problems.
Sensitive to clothing at abdomen.
Craves sweets, warm drinks.
R-sided symptoms, going L to R, sleeps on R side.
R ovarian cysts.
Worse early morning, wakes unrefreshed.
Esp worse 4-8 pm; best after 8pm til midnight
Worse fasting, headaces better eating, but GI issues worse after eating.
Furrowed brow, frowning expression. **Premature gray hair. **
Impotency, premature ejaculation, frigidity, promiscuity, enjoyment absent during coition.
LYCOPODIUM
Miasm: primarily Psora, some sycosis
Excesses and extremes. Desire to experience everything. Extremists. Erratic performance.
Sycosis, profuse discharges. Problems since birth.
Strong sexuality. Cruel but may be sensitive.
Craves sour fruit, citrus, fat, alcohol, drugs. Averse eggplant, slimy foods.
**Asthma, arthritis. **
Anticipatory anxiety, ailments from anticipation. **Bites nails. **Clairvoyance.
Concentration difficult. Confusion of mind. ** Delusions:** someone touched her head; someone behind him.

MEDORRHINUM
Miasm: sycotic
Restless. Sensitive to heat and cold, narrow tolerance.
Lack of reactive power along with inefficiency of function. Recurring infections.
Syphilitic remedy, worse night.
Trembling, neurological.
Introversion, impulsive, hurried.
Stammering, suspicious. Fear of insanity.
Compulsive disorders. Anarchist, revolutionary.
Aversion to people, to family members.
Presentiment of death. Delusion he is a criminal.
Delusion she will become insane.
Disobedient.
Fears: death, robbers, suicide, misfortune.
Desirre to kill. Morose, cross. Rage.

Ailments from: grief. Silent grief, sad but can’t weep.
Ailments from disappointed love.
Dignity, cannot weep in front of others.
Averse company. Averse consolation.
Fastidious.
Fears robbers, narrow places.
PMS: sad irritable.
Worse sun, < 10-3pm.
Headaches, hay fever, herpetic eruptions on face & lips. Cracked lips.
**Craves salt or averse salt. **Thirsty. Bashful kidneys.
Painful coition, dryness vagina.
Back pain better hard pressure.
Insomnia, dwells on past hurts.
Sleeps L side.
Dryness and retention (dry skin, eyes, mouth, scanty perspiration, menses, constipation).
NATRUM MURIATICUM
Miasm: Psora, a little syphilis
Chilly, spasms, drugging, oversensitive to light, noise, etc.
Ambitious and competitive. Fastidious, efficient.
GI complaints: painful spasms.
Irritable, excitable, impatient. Easily offended, irritable, angry, intolerant of contradiction.
Worse anger, cold, drafts. Better warmth, any form.
Wants to but can’t (vomit, defecate, etc).
Craves fat, spicy, alcohol, stimulants, coffee: but these agg.
Muscle spasms
Sneezing in morning. Worse mornings.
Cystitis with frequent urging for small amounts, better heat or warm bathing.
Insomnia. <3-4 a.m.
NUX VOMICA
Miasm: psora, some sycosis
Diffusion, no strong boundaries, clairvoyant.
Imaginative & **anxious. **
Desire & amel by company. Social, warm, open, sympathetic.
Fearful: anxiety about health, fear death, disease, dark, thunderstorms, alone, something will happen.
Love connection, touch, massage, sex. Better consolation, better massage, better eating, better cold drinks, better sleep. Strongly desires company.
Worse at twilight, < alone.
Spacy.
Very **thirsty for ice cold drinks. **Diabetes. Worse fasting, better eating.
Crave or averse sweets. Crave spicy, salty, cold drinks, chocolate, ice cream, milk.
Worse lying L side. Sleeps R side, better from sleep.
L sided remedy.
Hemorrhagic tendency, epistaxis, etc.
Hoarseness, problems easily go to lungs, coughs & URIs
PHOSPHORUS
Miasm: Primarily psora, some sycosis, some syphilis.
Mild, yielding, changeable disposition.
Dependent and needy, seek consolation, fear abandonment. Jealousy.
Weeps easily, seeks consolation, which ameliorates.
Easily influenced, malleable. Soft, timid, **dependent. **
Warm, worse heat, hate stuffy rooms, worse warm applications, worse hot sun.
Better cool air and beter cold applications.
Need open air, > walking slowly in open air, in cool weather.
Faintness in closed rom.
Craves butter, cream, cheese, ice cream, peanut butter.
Averse fat, butter.
Worse fatty foods, pork bread.
Hormonal remedy: agg during menarche, before or during menses, during pregnancy, at menopause.
Dry mouth but thirstless.
Otitis media.
Symptoms change
Menses irregular.
Coughs, otitis, GI problems, headaches.
