Televisions
A device with a screen for receiving television signals.
Smart TVs and 3D TVs.
Smart TVs have access to the internet and use apps. 3D TVs can display a 3D image using glasses or parallax.
Projectors
Device that projects an image onto a flat surface for viewing.
DVD Players
Device that translates data from a DVD into video on a television.
Recorder
Device that records video from a TV and stores it on a storage device i.e. DVD, video tape, internal storage (hard drive).
Blu-ray Players
Device that translates data from a Blu-ray disc into video on a television.
Personal Video Recorder
A device that records television programmes onto a hard disk and allows them to be paused or manipulated.
Set-top Boxes
A box-shaped device that converts a digital television signal to analogue for viewing on a conventional set, or that enables cable or satellite television to be viewed.
Media Stations
Devices that provide video/audio to a television from a remote source or internal storage e.g. Apple TV, Roku.
Sound Systems (HiFi)
High quality sound output involving multiple speakers.
