Antisemitism
hostility to or prejudice against Jews.
Bystander
a person who is present at an event or incident but does not take part.
Crematoria
a machine in which bodies are burned down to the bones, eliminating all soft tissue.
Concentration Camps
a place where large numbers of people, especially political prisoners or members of persecuted minorities, are deliberately imprisoned in a relatively small area with inadequate facilities, sometimes to provide forced labor or to await mass execution.
Death Camps
a prison camp, especially one for political prisoners or prisoners of war, in which many die from poor conditions and treatment or from mass execution.
Dehumanization
the process of depriving a person or group of positive human qualities.
Deportation
the action of deporting a foreigner from a country.
Discrimination
the unjust or prejudicial treatment of different categories of people or things, especially on the grounds of race, age, or sex.
Euphemism
a mild or indirect word or expression substituted for one considered to be too harsh or blunt when referring to something unpleasant or embarrassing.

the Nazi policy of exterminating European Jews.
Fuehrer
a ruthless, tyrannical leader.
Genocide
the deliberate killing of a large group of people, especially those of a particular ethnic group or nation.
Liberation
freedom from limits on thought or behavior.
Nazi
a member of the National Socialist German Workers’ Party.
Persecution
persistent annoyance or harassment.
Refugee
a person who has been forced to leave their country in order to escape war, persecution, or natural disaster.
Star of David
a six-pointed figure consisting of two interlaced equilateral triangles, used as a Jewish and Israeli symbol.
Swastika
an ancient symbol in the form of an equal-armed cross with each arm continued at a right angle, used (in clockwise form) as the emblem of the German Nazi Party.
Visa
an endorsement of a passport indicating that the holder is allowed to enter, leaver or star for a specified period of time in a country
Wannsee Conference
a meeting of senior government officials of Nazi Germany and Schutzstaffel leaders, held in the Berlin suburb of Wannsee on 20 January 1942
