Anti-Semitism
Hostility or prejudice against Jews.
Auschwitz
One of the largest concentration camps created by the Nazi Germans in Auschwitz, Poland.
Concentration Camp
A place where large number of people are imprisoned in a relatively small area with inadequate facilities
Dehumanisation
To deprive of human qualities or attributes.
Discrimination
The unjust or prejudicial treatment of different categories of people.
Extermination Camp
A camp designed by Nazi Germany used to systematically kill people.
Final Solution
The Nazi policy of exterminating European Jews.
Genocide
The deliberate killing of a large group of people.
Ghetto
The Jewish quarter of a city.
Holocaust
The mass murder of approximately six million Jews between 1941-1945.
Liberation
The act of setting someone free from imprisonment, slavery or oppression.
Nazi
A political party that ruled Germany between 1933-1945.
Prejudice
Preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience.
Racism
Prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one’s own race is superior.
Refugee
A person who has been forced to leave their country in order to escape war, persecution etc.
Resistance
The refusal to accept or comply with something.
Mein Kampf
An autobiography written by the leader of the Nazi Party, Adolf Hitler.
