Hostility to or prejudice against Jews.
Auschwitz
one of the largest concentration camps during WWII
Concentration camp
where large amounts of people are deliberately imprisoned in a small area with inadequate facilities and conditions.
dehumanization
to treat someone as though they are not human
the act/process of denying ones humanness - their human qualities and rights.
discrimination
the unjust or prejudicial treatment of different people (sex, nationality, age, race)
Eugenics
the science of improving the human population by controlled breeding to increase occurance of desired heritable characteristics.
Euthanasia
the painless killing of a patient suffering of incurable and painful disease or irreversible coma
Extermination camp
designed and built by Nazi Germany to systematically kill - gassing, mass execution, extreme work in starvation
Final solution
The Nazi program for extermination of all Jews in Europe
Genocide
The deliberate killing of people from a particular racial, cultural or political group.
Ghetto
An area of a city usually established in poorer sections called a Jewish quarter where most Jews were forced to reside

the organized killing of many helpless people because of their race or religion
Police state
a country in which the activities of it’s people are strictly controlled by the government with help of the police force
Prejudice
an unfair feeling of dislike of a person or group because of race, sex, religion etc.
Racism
poor treatment of, or violence against people because of their race, the belief that some races are better than others
Refugee
Someone who has been forced to leave their country because of war, or for religious or political reasons
Resistance
refusal to accept something new or different, effort made to stop or fight against someone or something
