when you want to go to the toilet in the middle of the night, you have to get out of the tent and walk
les emplacements sont parfois loin des blocs sanitaires alors on est obligé de marcher pour y aller
the pitches are sometimes far from the toilet blocks so you have to walk to get there
on peut respirer l’air frais de la campagne. ça fait du bien d’échapper à la pollution de la ville!
you can breathe the fresh air of the countryside. it feels good to escape the pollution of the city!
on peut rencontrer d’autres personnes et découvrir d’autres cultures car on vit près d’autres campeurs

si on n’a pas beaucoup d’argent, on peut quand même passer de bonnes vacances sans se ruiner
if you don’t have a lot of money, you can still have a good vacation without breaking the bank
c’est plutôt sympa de partir avec ses copains; on peut faire des veillées autour du feu, chanter et s’amuser pour pas cher

ce qui m’agace le plus c’est qu’il faut emmener la tente, les sacs de couchage, le matériel nécessaire et ça prend de la place

quand on veut se dépayser, le camping est idéal car on en trouve toujours dans la campagne

quand on fait du camping, on a invariablement des petites bêtes qui rentrent dans le sac de couchage - je ne supporte pas ça
when you go camping, you invariably have little animals that fit into your sleeping bag - I can’t stand this
quelle horreur! l’idée de dormir sous une tente avec des insectes est répugnante. je préfère mon lit
how awful! the idea of sleeping in a tent with insects is disgusting. I prefer my bed
le camping, pour moi, c’est un vrai changement. on se sent plus libre et on a moins de contraintes
camping, for me, is a real change. we feel freer and have fewer constraints
c’est vrai qu’une chambre d’hôtel est plus confortable mais ce n’est pas le même budget. au moinsot avec le camping, on ne se ruine pas
it’s true that a hotel room is more comfortable but it’s not the same budget. at least with camping, you don’t break the bank
ce qui est génial avec les campings c’est qu’on peut en trouver presque partout : près des grandes villes, à la campagne, près de la plage
the great thing about campsites is that you can find them almost everywhere: near big cities, in the countryside, near the beach
un gros inconvénient, selon moi, c’est qu’il faut apporter tout le matériel et monter la tente. ça peut être compliqué.
a big disadvantage, in my opinion, is that you have to bring all the equipment and set up the tent. it can be complicated.
quelquefois, les douches sont froides car on arrive après les autres campeurs

je n’apprécie pas la proximité avec les autres campeurs: les emplacements sont toujours trop près les uns des autres
I don’t like the proximity to other campers: the pitches are always too close to each other
moi j’ai besoin de mon confort. au camping, il me manque mon lave-vaisselle et ma machine à laver. selon moi, c’est trop compliqué de bien s’organiser dans un terrain de camping
I need my comfort. at the campsite, I’m missing my dishwasher and my washing machine. in my opinion, it’s too complicated to organize yourself well in a campsite
de nombreux campings possèdent une piscine, des jeux pour enfants et des activités pour les ados. c’est pratique et on peut vraiment se détendre
many campsites have a swimming pool, games for children and activities for teenagers. it’s practical and you can really relax
moi j’adore communier avec la nature. sous la tente, on peut entendre les animaux, on se lève avec le soleil, on a un rythme de vie différent. c’est vraiment déstressant
I love communing with nature. under the tent, you can hear the animals, you get up with the sun, you have a different rhythm of life. it’s really de-stressing
la dernière fois que je suis allé(e) faire du camping, je n’ai pas pu dormir à cause des moustiques! j’étais crevé(e)!
the last time I went camping, I couldn’t sleep because of the mosquitoes! I was exhausted!
