“The curse”
Fate/Destiny because it will bring them bad luck forever.
“Stanley’s farther was smart and had a lot of perseverance”
Family because there talking about his dad and saying good things about him.

Transformation because he had changed physically
Zero explains that he is “not stupid”
Choices because he didn’t have to say he want stupid and they don’t have to think his stupid it was there choice.
X-Ray was the leader of the group”
Power because X-Ray runs the group
“That’s all right”
Friendship because he’s helping him and encouraging him.
“I believe I just did”
Power because let people tell her what to do and everybody likes her.
“I was walking home and the sneakers fell from the sky”
Fate/Destiny because he thought the shoes fell to help his dad make his invention work.
“He held the canteen right next to the stream of water”
Power because Mr Sir didn’t fill Stanley’s canteen because he didn’t want to.
The warden “Owns the shade”
Power because the warden doesn’t let them rest in the shade.
“C’mon Caveman, it’s just a hole”
Friendship because there using a nickname they gave him and encouraging him.
“X-Ray was clearly the leader of the group”
Power because he the leader/the boss of the group.
“To rock climb. I know that sounds scary but don’t worry”
Family because he is pretty much saying I’ve got your back you can do it.
It wasn’t destiny, he realised. It was his no-good-dirty-wroten-pig-stealing-great-great-grandfather”
Fate/Destiny because he found out that wasn’t meant to happen and the curse got him in trouble again.
“I’ll be careful it’s not all fun and games here but I think I’m getting a lot out of it. It builds character”
Transformation because he now thinks it’s helping him out there digging holes
“There’s only really one rule at Camp Green Lake. Don’t upset the warden”
Power because they’re saying if you mess with the warden you will get in lots of trouble.
“His muscles and hands weren’t the only parts of his body that had gotten tougher over the past several weeks. His heart had hardened as well”
Transformation because he had changed a lot from digging holes now he takes things for granted.
“Squid was crying, “you okay” Stanley whispered”
Friendship because he’s trying to cheer up Squid
” “ I don’t know if I know how to teach, but I’m not that worn out today, since you dug a lot out of my hole.” “
Choice because he didn’t have to teach Zero but Zero didn’t have to dig Stanley’s hole
“If you take a bad boy and make him dig a hole everyday in the hot sun, it will turn him into a good boy.”
Transformation because he’s saying that you can change a boy who’s bad to a good boy.
“Stanley Yelnats was given a choice. The judge said, “ you may go to jail, or camp green lake.” “
Choice,because he could of went to jail but he chose camp green lake.
” Dear mom and dad,
Camp is hard, but challenging. We’ve been running obstacle courses, and have to swim long distances on the lake. Tomorrow we learn.”
Family because he’s writing to his parents.
