What is a committee?

A

two types - Select = for each government department examining three aspects: Spending, policies & administration. General = looking at parliamentary legislation & can suggest amendments to bills.

A

The 2nd legislative chamber in the UK. It’s job is to vote on bill the HoC has passed.
