What was the Aryan race?
Hitler wanted blue eyed blonde hair people in his country he called this race the superior race
One way in which Hitler gained power?
Hitler used the Reichstag Fire as a means of gaining power blaming the communists for starting the fire. This way the Nazi’s caught supposed arsonist and Hitler gained majority support.

What happened during the night of the Long Knives?
Hitler and his SS got rid of SA because he saw them as a threat and they were assassinated
How did Hitler control the economy?
Introduced the command economy, attempted economic recovery and changed living standards.
What was the Nazi attitude towards women?
Slogans like Kinder, Kirche and Kuche were reinforced which emphasised a woman’s role as being in the home. Woman couldn’t work and were confined to the home
What was the Holocaust?
Mass extermination of Jews where Hitler killed many Jews. This was also known as the final solution
What was Kristallnacht?
Another way of Hitler getting rid of Jews- Hitler and his SS boycotted Jewish buisnesses and banned them from many areas of life. Jewish shops were destroyed and many were killed.
How was education like in the Nazi period?
The curriculum focused on promoting Nazi ideology. e.g PE was compulsory among boys and girls and even maths had propaganda built into it.
Why did women start working in Nazi period?
Most of the men were out at war fighting so there was a demand in workers and Hitler had to sacrifice his ideology and employ women
How was dissent and opposition shown in the Nazi period?
Mainly through use of leaflets and posters
How was repression used?
Hitler used is SS and Gestapo to control most of what happens in Germany and suppress and kill any anti-Nazi campaigns
How was Hitler as a leader?
Hitler was practically limitless and took the power as being Fuhrer extremely serious which is why many opposed his regime.
Who was Albert Speer?
One of Hitlers other propaganda ministers and one of Hitlers closest and most loyal followers.
