Who was Hitler trying to emulate in the Putsch, and what were the consequences of it??
Hitler wanted to try and mirror Mussolini’s success in Italy with his March on Rome.
On the morning of 9th November, Hitler marched into Munich, where they were met by police officers. A riot began in which 16 Nazis were killed and 3 policemen died. Hitler was put on trial and used his court appearances show his oratory skills, and gain Nazi support. Newspapers reported on this case showing Hitler in a good light. He achieved a sentence of 5 years, but only served 9 months.

What happened to the Nazis in the late 20s??
Hitler reorganised the party and focused his propaganda on poor farmers and the working class of Germany. By 1929 there were 100,000 members. The SS was created.

Proportional Representation: lots of coalitions between extremist parties.
Article 48: The President could use the article to suspend democracy at a time of crisis and make his own laws with the backing of the armed forces.
