Militarism
The belief or desire of a government or people that a country should maintain a strong military capability and be prepared to use it aggressively to defend or promote national interests.
“the hostility and militarism of the regime has not ebbed in any perceptible manner”
Alliances
A union or association formed for mutual benefit, especially between countries or organizations.
Mobilization
The action of a country or its government preparing and organizing troops for active service.
Casualty
A person killed or injured in a war or accident.
Armistice
An agreement made by opposing sides in a war to stop fighting for a certain time; a truce.
Treaty
A formally concluded and ratified agreement between countries.
Stalemate
A situation in which further action or progress by opposing or competing parties seems impossible.
