The Austro-Hungarian Archduke was assassinated in Sarajevo-Bosnia in June1918, He was killed by a Serbian nationalist Gavrilo Princip which has connection to a terrorist group “the Black hand” because he wanted independence
WW1 main locations
mostly located on the western fornt
Trench warfare
The trenches were narrow long tunnels with “no man’s land” between that were mainly used in WW1 and had terrible conditions and soldiers were killed by machine guns and artillery or get caught in barbed wire
Trenches
they were muddy and dirty, they were infested with dead bodies, and disease (Trench fever, which are spread by fleas) They would also get Trench foot, from standing in wet ground for too long (needs amputation if serious) and would suffer form shell shock (PTSD)
Treaty of Versailles
After Germany lost in WW1, they were forced to sign the treaty, (made by winning countries, France, US, UK, Italy) They cut their troops in half, made them pay a hefty fine, lost land / colonies, and was blamed for the war
