Why did these Europeans begin to explore?
The europeans were trying to get spices from India in an easier way by boat. They also wanted resources like iron, jewels, gold, silk, and other materials.
What was the Colombian exchange? Give examples of the resources.
The Columbian exchange was the New World and the old world trading resources to help them.
New world to old world
Pumpkins, squash, turkeys, peanuts, potatoes, tomatoes, corn, sweet potatoes, peppers, tobacco, pineapples, cacao, beans, and vanilla.
Old world to New World
Disease, livestock, grains, peaches, pears, coffee, beans, turnips, olives, onions, honey bees, sugarcane, bananas, grapes, and citrus fruits.
