A

PND: paroxysmal nocturnal dyspnea
(shortness of breath that awakens the patient, relieved in upright position)

Orthopnea:
sensation of breathlessness in the recumbent position, relieved by sitting

Difference between Right and left sided heart failure?

A

Right sided heart failure: fluid builds up (oedema)- cyanosis/cool legs- distended neck veins- bloating-nausea-anorexia

Left sided heart failure: fluid builds up in lungs=dyspnea- pulmonary congestion/ cyanosis- fatigue
