because of long-lasting hosility between Celts and anglo-Saxons. They were difference in religion and in the nationality. Celts were Cristians and anglo.Saxons were heathens.
later Celts retreated and accepted the language od anglo-saxons

synthetical (slovene9 languages has a lot of inflections and the grammatical relations between words are form by it.
