because of long-lasting hosility between Celts and anglo-Saxons. They were difference in religion and in the nationality. Celts were Cristians and anglo.Saxons were heathens.
later Celts retreated and accepted the language od anglo-saxons

in the 8th century British isles vere invated by Scandinavian tribes and they become intermingled with Anglo-Saxons.

yes but old english was rich with inflections, st the beginning of the moderen englist most of the inflectons were gone

analytical languages (french, english) has lach of inflections. the grammatical relations between words are expressed by means of seperate words. synthetical (slovene9 languages has a lot of inflections and the grammatical relations between words are form by it.
