Q

Why and why was the plum pudding model proven wrong ?

A
  • During an alpha particle scattering experiment (consisted of firing positively charged alpha particles at a thin sheet of gold)
  • They predicted that most of the particles would go straight through but this wasn’t the case so they concluded that the model must be inaccurate.
