A Chinese dynasty that was founded by Emperor Taizu of Song in 960 to 1279
- Issuing banknotes or true paper money, which was the first in world history.
- Establishing a permanent standing navy, which was the first Chinese government to do so.
*Inventing gunpowder weapons such as fire arrows, bombs, and the fire lance.
- Advancements in agriculture, including the use of new tools and techniques.
- Innovations in printing technology, including the world’s first movable type printing press.

What is the Mongol Empire and what did they accomplish.

The Mongol Empire was an empire established my Genghis Khan that lasted from 1206 to 1368
- Played a significant role in the development of world trade and commerce, as well as the exchange of ideas and technologies across a vast region.
- Brought peace, stability, and unity to large tracts of the known world.
- Practiced religious tolerance to a remarkable degree at a time when conformity to religious doctrine was rigidly enforced in much of Europe.
- Embodied tensions between warfare and productive peace, and between humble steppe dwellers and mastery of the era’s most advanced technology.
- Turned these tensions into the second-largest kingdom of all time, covering the most contiguous territory in history at its peak.
