it was very frightening to the people in medieval times because a lot of people were dying and they didn’t want to die and suffer like they did.

people tried to cure the black death by killing their cats and dogs and also they carried around herbs because they also thought that bad smell had caused it people would also put toads on their lumps because they thought that the toads would extract it.
