A

Free resettlement (presura or aprisio, 9th-10th centuries) in which the king granted land to free peasants. The settlers in the territory owned small plots of land (allods) and founded villages with pastures, water and forests held collectively as public property.

Concejiles resettlement (11th-12th centuries) was organised collectively by the monarchs in areas on the border with Al-Andalus that suffered continued attacks. To encourage the settlement of cities, the monarchs granted privileges to the inhabitants.
