- How do archaeologists find sites for excavation?(name 2)
1) discovered by accident For example, a farmer ploughing a field might find something and report it, leading to a full investigation of the site. This is how they found the Ardagh Chalice
2) Sometimes the ruins of an old building or structure are still visible above the ground and it is decided that they might be worth a closer look. Bective Abbey in Co. Meath is an example.
How do archeologists date the objects they find name 2
1) Dendrochronology, also called tree-ring dating, is a method of dating that uses the unique growth patterns of tree rings as a guide.
- The method of stratigraphy is used to date artefacts and evidence by how deep in the ground they were when found

Any human made object e.g a tool or weapon such as a spear
What is evidence
