A
Cervical screening programme, biopsy

A
FNA, fluids, washings, urine, CSF

What are the circumstances in which a death needs to be reported to the coroner?
A
- Unknown cause
- Violent death
- Sudden death
- Failure of GP to visit in final days
- No medical certificate
- Death during an operation
- Death caused by poison or industrial disease

What are the 2 main indications for autopsy?
A
Forensic - unknown/criminal cause of death (coroner)
Clinical - unknown medical cause of death (hospital doctor)

How do you request an autopsy?
A
- Write to the coroner
2. If this fails, write to the supreme court
