Q

What are boxplots used for?

A

Continuous variable and also categorical variable

Shows median
See if data is symmetrical
Distribution of data and if it’s similar across groups

Can’t see:
Mean score

Q

What are bad charts used for?

A

Used with continuous DV and at least 1 categorical variable

Shows means for each group
Can see differences between means

Can’t see distribution of data or overlap in variance.

Q

When’s a scatterplot used?

A

With 2 continuous variables
