What does the histogram tell me?
A
It tells me the quality of the exposure, over, under or correct exposure.

What function does the histogram plays in digital photography?
A
It is the equivalent of the light meter used in film photography

What does the histogram show?
A
The histogram is a curve. The right side of the curve provides highlight information while the left side of the curve provides shadow information.
The right end point tells Exposure, the left end point tells Contrast.
