Q

Factores que aumentan la secreción de Renina

A

There are three primary stimuli for renin secretion:

  1. (-) NaCl transport in the distal portion of the thick ascending limb of the loop of Henle that abuts the corresponding afferent arteriole (macula densa)
  2. **baroreceptor mechanism within the renal afferent arteriole **: (-) pressure or stretch
  3. sympathetic nervous system stimulation of renin-secreting cells via β1 adrenoreceptors.

Also renin secretion increases in response to pharmacologic blockade of either ACE or angiotensin II receptors.

Q

Factores que Inhiben la secreción de Renina

A
  1. increased NaCl transport in the thick ascending limb of the loop of Henle,
  2. Increased stretch within the renal afferent arteriole, and
  3. β1 receptor blockade.
  4. In addition, angiotensin II directly inhibits renin secretion due to angiotensin II type 1 receptors on juxtaglomerular cells
