Hip & Knee Goniometry Flashcards

1
Q

Describe the steps of the examination procedure

A
  1. place pt in testing position
  2. move distal segment (as close as possible) to starting position
  3. complete passive ROM & end feel
  4. palpate bony landmarks
  5. stabilize proximal joint segment
  6. move distal segment through the full ROM
  7. place goni, palpating landmarks again if necessary
  8. read & record
