What impact does it have on Hindus today, and why?
Why is this important to the religious follower, why?
The afterlife is important to hindus because they believe that if they get good karma then they have a chance of breaking samsara and being with god for eternity which influences them to always try and make the right choices so that they have extremely good karma so that they can be with god
How do these beliefs compare to Monotheistic religions such as Christinaity or Islam and to Atheism?
Hinduism compared to christianity a bit as when a person dies in each both religions there is a chance for both people from both religions to see god as its similar as to be with god it depends on your actions if you live a bad life you don’t stay with god but if you have good actions your whole life then you have a chance of being with god
But the different is in hinduism you must do good actions to be with god but in christianity you have to do things like believe that jesus died for all our sins to be with god in heaven
