What is the order of the funeral?
The order of the funeral is to decorate the body, to get holy water and let the body drink it. Then you prepare the body and the closest relative wears white and they cromate the body. The relative burns wood with fire which is on the body. After that they put the body in the Ganges River which is in India. This is for their next life and a Goddess gives the soul life to return. If the family is wealthy they put ashes over the body because it smells sweet.
What is the afterlife cycle?
The afterlife cycle is birth, child, adult, elderly and death. If your Karma is good you will become a human in your next life and if your Karma is bad you will become an animal in your next life. However, if you are really good and you have learnt your lessons then you will go to Moksha which you must have obeyed Dharma then you can go to God.
What is Puja?
Puja is what Hindu’s do to worship the Gods. This is in a specific order which is; to offer you food to the Gods which are put on a Shrine and then you put a red dot on your forehead which shows respect to the Gods and you also put the red dot on the Gods. Then you say Aum and the sound travels through your body, after that you chooses who to pray to and you can ask for any help. Then you move a lamp around the Gods and this is called Arti and this can let you ask for Gods blessings. You then put your hands to the flame and rub it and put it over your head to receive Gods blessings. Lastly, you share your food which was offered to the Gods and you look forward to the next day.
Why do you do Puja at funerals.
You do Puja at funerals because the lamp keeps the darkness away from the dead body and it can give the body light as it has passed away.
