Warfarin + Broad Spectrum antibiotic (Kills Vit K sources)

Phenothiazine + Sedatives (exponentiates sedatives)

Leukemia + Phenyl-butazine (NSAID that suppresses BM)

MAOI + Barbiturates or Opioides (Meperidine is a CNS simulator)

HSV infection + corticosteroids

Metronidazole + EtOH

  1. Clozipine + Aggranulocytosis (Clozipine causes it)
  2. Valproic acid + Thrombocytopenia (V. acid causes it)
  3. NSAIDS + Asthma
  4. Opiates + Head Trauma
  5. Methotrexate + Beta lactam antibiotics

ASA + Probenecid (decreases prob. effect)
Probenecid + PCN (decreases PCN renal clearance)

  1. Methotrexate + ASA
  2. NSAIDs + Anti-HTN (Diutetics, B blockers, ACE inhib)
  3. Valium + Narrow angle glaucoma
  4. PCN + Tetracycline (Cancel each other out: -cidal vs -static)

EPI + TCA / non-selective B blockers
Triazolam + anti-fungals (inhibits the enzyme to break down)
