Warfarin + Broad Spectrum antibiotic (Kills Vit K sources)
Phenothiazine + Sedatives (exponentiates sedatives)
Leukemia + Phenyl-butazine (NSAID that suppresses BM)
MAOI + Barbiturates or Opioides (Meperidine is a CNS simulator)
HSV infection + corticosteroids
Metronidazole + EtOH
- Clozipine + Aggranulocytosis (Clozipine causes it)
- Valproic acid + Thrombocytopenia (V. acid causes it)
- NSAIDS + Asthma
- Opiates + Head Trauma
- Methotrexate + Beta lactam antibiotics
ASA + Probenecid (decreases prob. effect)
Probenecid + PCN (decreases PCN renal clearance)
- Methotrexate + ASA
- NSAIDs + Anti-HTN (Diutetics, B blockers, ACE inhib)
- Valium + Narrow angle glaucoma
- PCN + Tetracycline (Cancel each other out: -cidal vs -static)
EPI + TCA / non-selective B blockers
Triazolam + anti-fungals (inhibits the enzyme to break down)
Sedative for children
- combative = meperidine
