• Check Conditions On Fire Floor And Floors Above And Below The Fire
Check Conditions Two Floors Below Fire Floor For Staging
Communicate Location, Conditions, and needs to I.C.
First-In Company
Pass Command to 2nd in Engine
• Annunciator Panel Information
• Elevator Status
• The Route Of Ascent Into The Building By Fire Attack Crews
(Include Stairwell Location And Identification)
• Any Other Pertinent Information

Water Supply
Two Engines, Two Engineers, 1st And 3rd Company Will Generally Handle
1st Engine should be from Primary Water Source, then another Engine will be Required to Pump to First-in Engine.

Command/Follow-Up
Establish Command Post Determine Adequacy Of Resources Follow Up Report
- Identify Incident
- Identify Command Post Location
- Order Additional Resources And State “Staging” Location–for Fire, Amb & other - Two Or More Divisions Order An Additional Command Frequency
Gain Control Of The Building Systems (HVAC, Elevators & Water Supply) Maintain Necessary Re-Stat / Sit Stat Records
Provide for ICS Positions as needed (Div / Grps)
Communicate Status Report (Situation, Progress, Needs, Every 30-45 min.)

Establish Public Address to Reassure & give Direction to Building Occupants Direct Fire Fighter’s To Proper Stairwell for Ascent
