Palmar Grasp
Stimulus: Putting light pressure on the palm
Response: Flexion of the fingers
Search/Rooting
Stimulus: Activation of cheeks/ touch or pressure on check
Response: The response is that the head will turn toward that touch
Suck
Stimulus: Pressure on the lips
Response: Creating a seal with the mouth to suck
Plantar grasp
Stimulus: Light pressure on the sole of the foot
Response: Collection of the toes
Babinski
Stimulus: intense pressure on the sole of the foot
Response: Extension of the toes
Moro
Stimulus: Lowering of the head or body while facing upward
Response: Extension of the upper limbs
Startle
Stimulus: Loud noise or quick movement
Response: Extend upper limbs followed by flexion
Asymmetric Tonic Neck
Stimulus: Turning the head to one side
Response: Arm on the side the head is facing will extend the other will flex
Symmetric tonic neck
Stimulus: Extension of the head back
Response: Extension of the upper limbs and lower limbs
Palmar Mandibular
Stimulus: Applying pressure to the palms of the hands
Response: Mouth opens the eyes close and flexes
Palmar mental
Stimulus: Pressure to the lower palm closer to the wrist
Response: Movement of the Jaw
Crawling
Stimulus: In a prone position (face down) and there is a firm pressure placed on the sole of the foot
Swim
Stimulus: the infant is held in the prone position and or placed in water
Stepping
Stimulus: held upright with feet in contact with hard surface
Pull-up
Stimulus: The child is lying face up, grab the child’s hands and pull the infant upwards
